CREATING THE MOUTH PORTION

ROUND 1: Chain 1, SC in the first stitch and in every stitch in the round. SL ST in the beginning chain to join. Total stitches: 66

ROUND 2 TO ROUND 3: CH 1, SC in every stitch in the round (Photo 5). Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.

ATTACHING THE EYELETS

To attach the eyelet, count and mark the finished top portion of the bag as follows: 18-5-5-5-18-5-5-5 (Photo 6) . Insert the eyelet in between the stitches and attach firmly (Photo 7).

CREATING THE STRAP AND THE DRAWSTRING

Begin by creating a slip knot and chaining 120. Fasten off. Make 2 more. Add additional chains for a longer bag strap. Insert the straps into the front and the back of the bag (Photo 8). Tie a knot at each end. Insert the drawstring into every eyelet, adjust the drawstring until it is even on both ends.
