Floral Crochet: Stargazer

ANTHER + FILAMENT (5)

Cut 5 pieces of your 0.3 MM jewelry wire, measuring 3 inches long. Fold each wire in half.

Wrap your Dark Brown yarn around the folded tip 6 times, add your green yarn and wrap around the anther and filament part 12 times (Photo 7). Secure with a knot or hot glue (Photo 8). Cut off any excess yarn. Do this for the rest of the folded wires.

STIGMA + STYLE

Cut a piece of your 0.3 MM jewelry wire, measuring 4 inches long and fold it in half.

Wrap the tip of the folded wire with light green yarn 8 times. Add and wrap the green yarn just below the light green yarn and wrap around the folded wire 16 times. Secure with a knot or a drop of hot glue. Cut off any excess yarn.

PUTTING IT TOGETHER

Position the Stigma and Style into the center of the floral craft rod or bamboo skewer. Position the Anther and Filaments around the Stigma and Style and glue into place (Photo 10). You can also wrap green yarn around the bottom part of the Anther and Filament, securing the end of the yarn with a drop of hot glue.

Position the Petals around the Carpel and Stamen (Photo 11), slightly overlapping each other, and secure into place with hot glue. Taking an excess yarn from one of the petals, wrap around the yarn, wires and floral craft rod or bamboo skewer several times, securing the end with hot glue Cut off any excess yarn and wires.

Insert the bottom part of the floral craft rod or bamboo skewer into the center of the Sepal and pull upwards until it covers the bottom part of the Petals. Sew into place (Photo 12).

Wrap green yarn around the bottom of the Sepal, working your way 3 and 1/2 inches down the floral craft rod or bamboo skewer. Attach a leaf onto the side with hot glue (Photo 13). Wrap around the wire and yarn several times and secure the end with a drop of hot glue.

Attach the other leaf onto the other side of the stalk with hot glue and using the excess yarn from the leaf, wrap around the wires, working your way 3 inches down the floral craft rod or bamboo skewer.

Cut off any excess yarn and wires and remove any excess glue.
