CREATING THE FACE (EYE PORTION) (2)
Using your white yarn and 4 mm crochet hook, create a Slip Knot and CH 5.
ROW 1: SC INC in the second CH from the hook, SC in the next 3 stitches, turn your work. Total Stitches: 3
ROW 2: CH 1, SC in the next 3 stitches, SC INC in the next stitch. Total Stitches: 5

CREATING THE FACE (MOUTH PORTION)
Using your white yarn and 4 mm crochet hook, create a slip knot and CH 13.

ROUND 3: CH 1, Single Crochet Two Together (SC2TOG), SC in the next 6 stitches, SC2TOG, turn your work. Total Stitches: 8

CREATING THE NECKERCHIEF
Using your light blue yarn and 4 mm crochet hook, create a Slip Knot and CH 2.
ROW 1: SC INC in the second CH from the hook, turn your work. Total Stitches: 2
ROW 2: CH 1, SC INC in every stitch in the row. Turn your work. Total Stitches: 4
ROW 3: CH 1, SC INC in the next stitch, SC in the next 2 stitches, SC INC in the next stitch. Turn your work. Total Stitches: 6
ROW 4: CH 1, SC INC in the first stitch, SC in the next 4 stitches, SC INC in the next stitch. Turn your work. Total Stitches: 8
ROW 5: CH 1, SC INC in the first stitch, SC in the next 6 stitches, SC INC in the next stitch. Turn your work. Total Stitches: 10
ROW 6: CH 1, SC INC in the first stitch, SC in the next 8 stitches, SC INC in the next stitch. Turn your work. Total Stitches: 12
ROW 7: CH 1, SC INC in the first stitch, SC in the next 10 stitches, SC INC in the next stitch. Turn your work. Total Stitches: 14
ROW 8: CH 1, SC in the next 6 stitches, 3 SC INC in the next stitch, SC in the next 7 stitches, CH 12. Fasten off.
Rejoin your light blue yarn into the other end of the neckerchief with a Slip Knot and CH 12. Fasten off.
Tie both ends of the chains with a knot and weave in any loose ends.
PUTTING IT TOGETHER
Flatten the outer ear and place the inner ear on top. Position and sew into place. Repeat for the other ear of Mang. Weave in any loose ends. Position the arms onto the CH-2 space of the body and sew in the front loops only, around the armhole.Repeat for the other arm. Position the ears in between Round 2 to Round 5 of the top portion of the head and sew into place. Weave in any loose ends. Position the mouth portion in between Rounds 11 and 18, center and sew into place.
Count 2 stitches away from the end of the mouth and place the end of the eye portion onto the stitch beside it. Sew into place. Repeat for the other eye portion. Insert the safety eyes onto the first row of the sewn in eye portion above the last stitch and secure into place.
Insert the safety nose in between the two eye portions and secure into place. Insert fiberfill into the head and body of Mang until firm. Position and center the head above the body and sew together. Weave in any loose ends. Using your black yarn, sew in the smiling mouth detail of Mang. Weave in any loose ends.
