Using your light blue yarn and 4.5 mm crochet hook, create a slip knot and Chain (CH) 10.

CREATING THE EYES (2)
Using your black yarn and 4.5 MM crochet hook, create a MR and CH 1.
ROUND 1: Hook in 4 SC inside the MR. Total Stitches: 4
ROUND 2: SC INC in every stitch in the round, joining your white yarn in the last stitch. Total Stitches: 8
ROUND 3: SC in every stitch in the round (Photo 6).
Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.
PUTTING IT TOGETHER
Position the mane in the straight portion of the head (back part), and place one mane round on the top of the head. Position and sew the mane into place. Place the ears between Round 5 and Round 6 of the head on the 6th stitch from the flattened, straight part of the head and sew into place.
Position the heart shaped nose between Round 8 to Round 15 of the front portion of the head (Photo 8), center and sew into place. Position the eyes between Rounds 10 to 14, 8 stitches from the midpoint of the flattened, back portion of the head (Photo 10). Sew in place using your black yarn. Reinsert your black yarn into the stitches made, until the black yarn makes a complete revolution, careful not to pull too tightly (Photo 11). Repeat for the other side. Weave in any loose ends.
