MINI TART SHELL

Using your Natural colored yarn and 4 MM crochet hook, begin by creating a Magic Ring (MR) and Chain (CH) 1.

ROUND 1: Hook in 6 Single Crochets (SC) inside the MR, pulling the ring close. Total Stitches: 6

ROUND 2: Single Crochet Increase (SC INC) in every stitch in the round. Total Stitches: 12

ROUND 3: SC INC in every stitch in the round. Total Stitches: 24

ROUND 4: * SC in the next 3 stitches, SC INC in the next stitch, repeat * 6 times. Total Stitches: 30

ROUND 5: * SC in the next 4 stitches, SC INC in the next stitch, repeat * 6 times. Total Stitches: 36

ROUND 6: SC in every stitch in the round. Total Stitches: 36

ROUND 7: * SC in the next 5 stitches, SC INC in the next stitch, repeat * 6 times. Total Stitches: 42

ROUND 8: * SC in the next 6 stitches, SC INC in the next stitch, repeat * 6 times. Total Stitches: 48

ROUND 9: CH 3, 5 Double Crochet Bobble (5 DC BOBBLE) in the next stitch (Photo 1), CH 1, * Double Crochet (DC) in the next stitch, 5 DC BOBBLE in the next stitch, CH 1, repeat * until the end of the round.

Fasten off and leave a 10 inch tail for sewing.

Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.

PUTTING IT TOGETHER

Match the Tart Filling Body and Tart Filling Cover together with the right sides facing up. Partly sew the pieces together on the back loops only of each piece. Insert fiberfill in the unsewn part of the tart filling and sew the remainder of the opening closed. Weave in any loose ends.

Insert the yarn of the Tart Shell onto the darning needle and insert onto the stitches of Round 9 (Photo 3). Gently pull on the yarn until the sides stand upright. Secure into place and weave in any loose ends.

CREAM TOPPING

With your White yarn and 3 MM crochet hook, create a Slip knot and CH 26.

ROW 1: SC INC in the 2nd CH from the hook, SC in the next 8 stitches, Half Double Crochet (HDC) in the next 6 stitches, Double Crochet (DC) in the next 8 stitches, Double Crochet Two Together (DC2TOG). Total Stitches: 25

ROW 2: CH 3, DC in the same stitch, DC in the next 7 stitches, HDC in the next 6 stitches, SC in the next 8 stitches, Single Crochet Two Together (SC2TOG). Total Stitches: 24

ROW 3: CH 1, SC INC in the first stitch, SC in the next 8 stitches, HDC in the next 6 stitches, DC in the next 7 stitches, DC2TOG. Turn your work. Total Stitches: 24

ROW 4 TO ROW 11: Repeat ROW 2 AND ROW 3, 4 more times.

Fold the long ends of the cream topping and join together with a Slip Stitch (SL ST). Fasten off and sew the top of the cream topping close. Take one end of the cream topping and twist two times and place the twisted end onto the top of the other end and sew to secure into place. Weave in any loose ends.
