Who doesn’t like Bubble Teas? They come in a wide range of flavors and are a refreshing drink to sip on. You can now create and carry your own small, crocheted bubble tea with this beginner friendly pattern.

MATERIALS

8 PLY / DK COTTON YARN

COLOURS: WHITE + ORANGE + BLACK + LIGHT PINK + GREEN

3 MM CROCHET HOOK

4 MM CROCHET HOOK

YARN A: WHITE; YARN B: ORANGE; YARN C: BLACK; YARN D: LIGHT PINK; YARN E: GREEN

CREATING THE CUP

With Yarn A and your 4 mm crochet hook, begin by creating a Magic Ring (MR).

ROUND 1: Hook in 5 Single Crochets (SC) inside the MR (Photo 1). Pull the ring close. Total Stitches: 5

ROUND 2: Hook in 2 SC or Single Crochet Increase (SC INC) in every stitch in the round (Photo 2). Total Stitches: 10

ROUND 3: * SC in the next stitch, SC INC in the next stitch. Repeat * 4 times. Join Yarn B, in the last stitch of this round. Total Stitches: 15

ROUND 4: Half Double Crochet in the Back Loops Only (HDCBLO) of every stitch in the round (Photo 4). Total Stitches: 15

ROUND 5: * SC in the next 2 stitches, joining Yarn C in the last stitch, Popcorn Stitch (PC) in the next stitch in the next stitch using your 3 mm crochet hook, switch to Yarn B in the last stitch (Photo 5). Repeat * 4 times. Total Stitches: 15

POPCORN STITCH (PC): Hook in 3 SCS in the next stitch, joining Yarn B in the last stitch. Remove your hook from the working loop and reinsert into the 1st SC you have created and pull the working yarn through (Photo 6).

ROUND 6: * SC in the next 2 stitches, PC in the next stitch using your 3 mm crochet hook using Yarn C. Repeat * 4 more times. Total Stitches: 15

ROUND 7: Using Yarn B and your 4 mm crochet hook, SC in every stitch in the round, joining Yarn A in the last stitch. Total Stitches: 15

ROUND 8: Now using Yarn A, * SC in the next 2 stitches (Photo 7), SC INC in the next stitch. Repeat * 4 more times. Total Stitches: 20

ROUND 9 TO ROUND 10: SC in every stitch in the round (Photo 9). Fasten off and leave a 6 inch tail for sewing.
