The heart is a popular symbol for love and is predominantly seen during the love month, February when Saint Valentine’s day is celebrated. Let’s start creating this crochet 3D Heart!
MATERIALS
MEDIUM WEIGHT / WORSTED WEIGHT COTTON BLEND YARN
3.5 MM CROCHET HOOK
FIBERFILL
DARNING NEEDLE
SCISSORS
OPTIONAL: STITCH MARKERS
Begin by creating a Magic Ring (MR) and Chain (CH) 1.
ROUND 1: Hook in 7 Single Crochets (SC) inside the MR. Pull the ring close (Photo 1). Total Stitches: 7
ROUND 2: SC in every stitch in the round.
ROUND 3: Hook in 2 SCS or Single Crochet Increase (SC INC) in every stitch in the round. Total Stitches: 14
ROUND 4: * SC in the next stitch, SC INC in every stitch in the round. Repeat * 6 more times. Total stitches: 21
ROUND 5 TO ROUND 7: SC in every stitch in the round.


ROUND 8: SC in the next 10 stitches, Slip Stitch (SL ST) in the next stitch and in the first stitch in the round (Photo 2). This will be your right heart bump.
ROUND 9 TO ROUND 10: SC in every stich in the round. Total Stitches: 10
Fasten off, weaving in any loose ends (Photo 3). Insert fiberfill until firm to the touch.
CREATING THE LEFT HEART BUMP
Rejoin your yarn in the same stitch as the first SL ST and CH 1.
ROUND 9 TO ROUND 10: SC in every stich in the round. Total Stitches: 10


ROUND 11: * SC in the next stitch, Single Crochet Two Together (SC2TOG) in the next stitch. Repeat * until the end of the round (Photo 4).
Fasten off, weaving in any loose ends.
