Crochet a Christmas Tree Sleeve

2 PCS TOILET PAPER CARDBOARD ROLL OR 1 LARGE PAPER TOWEL CARDBOARD ROLL

TAPE OR GLUE

DARNING NEEDLE

SCISSORS

OPTIONAL: MICRO LIGHTS


Using your gray yarn and 4 MM crochet hook, create a Magic Ring (MR) and Chain (CH) 3 (counts as a stitch).

ROUND 1: Hook in 5 Double Crochets (DC) inside the MR. Pull the ring close.

ROUND 2: CH 3, Treble Crochet in the Front Loop Only (TR FLO) in the same stitch, CH 3, Slip Stitch in the Front Loop Only (SL ST FLO) of the same stitch. * SL ST FLO of the next stitch, CH 3, TR FLO, CH 3, SL ST FLO in the same stitch. Repeat * 5 times. SL ST in the Back Loop Only (SL ST BLO) of the first stitch.

ROUND 3: CH 3, Double Crochet in the Back Loop Only (DC BLO) in the same stitch, * Double Crochet Increase in the Back Loop Only (DC INC BLO) of the next stitch, repeat * 5 times. Slip Stitch (SL ST) in the beginning CH to join.

ROUND 4: CH 3, TR FLO of the same stitch, CH 3, SL ST FLO in the same stitch. * SL ST FLO in the next stitch, CH 3, TR FLO, CH 3, SL ST FLO in the same stitch. Repeat * 11 times. SL ST BLO of the first stitch.

ROUND 5: CH 3, DC INC BLO in the same stitch, * DC BLO, DC INC BLO in the next stitch, repeat * 5 times. SL ST in the beginning CH to join.

ROUND 6: CH 3, TR FLO, CH 3, SL ST FLO in the same stitch. * SL ST FLO, CH 3, TR FLO, CH 3, SL ST FLO in the next stitch, repeat * 17 times. SL ST BLO of the first stitch.

ROUND 7: CH 3, DC BLO in every stitch in the round, SL ST in the beginning CH to join.

ROUND 8: CH 3, TRFLO, CH 3, SL ST FLO in the same stitch. * SL ST FLO, CH 3, TR FLO, CH 3, SL ST FLO in the same stitch. Repeat * 17 times. SL ST BLO of the first stitch.

ROUND 9: CH 3, DC BLO in every stitch in the round. SL ST in the beginning CH to join.

ROUND 10: CH 3, TR FLO, CH 3, SL ST FLO in the same stitch. * SL ST FLO, CH 3, TR FLO, CH 3, SL ST FLO in the next stitch. Repeat * 17 times, SL ST BLO of the first stitch.

ROUND 11 TO ROUND 14: Repeat Rounds 9 and 10 alternately.

ROUND 15: CH 3, DC BLO, DC INC BLO in the next stitch, * DC BLO in the next 2 stitches, DC INC BLO in the next stitch. Repeat * 5 times. SL ST in the beginning CH to join.

ROUND 16: CH 3, TR FLO, CH 3, SL ST FLO in the same stitch, *SL ST FLO, CH 3, TR FLO, CH 3, SL ST FLO in the next stitch. Repeat * 23 times. SL ST BLO of the first stitch.

ROUND 17: CH 3, DC BLO in every stitch in the round. SL ST in the beginning CH to join.

ROUND 18: CH 3,TR FLO, CH 3, SL ST FLO in the same stitch. * SL ST FLO, CH 3, TR FLO, CH 3, SL ST FLO, repeat * 23 times. SL ST BLO of the first stitch.

ROUND 19 TO ROUND 22: Repeat Round 17 and 18 alternately.

ROUND 23: CH 3, DC BLO of the next 2 stitches, DC INC BLO in the next stitch. * DC BLO in the next 3 stitches, DC INC BLO in the next stitch. Repeat * 5 times, SL ST in the beginning CH to join.

ROUND 24: CH 3, TR FLO, CH 3, SL ST FLO in the same stitch, * SL ST FLO, CH 3, TR FLO, CH 3, SL ST FLO in the next stitch. Repeat * 29 times. SL ST BLO of the first stitch.

ROUND 25: CH 3, DC BLO in every stitch in the round. SL ST in the beginning CH to join.

ROUND 26: CH 3, TR FLO, CH 3 SL ST FLO in the same stitch. * SL ST FLO, CH 3, TR FLO, CH 3, SL ST FLO in the next stitch. Repeat * 29 times. SL ST BLO of the first stitch.

ROUND 27 TO ROUND 30: Repeat Round 25 to Round 26 alternately.

ROUND 31: CH 1, SL ST in every stitch in the round, SL ST in the beginning CH to join.

Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.

Take 2 of your toilet paper cardboard roll, taped or glued together or a large paper towel cardboard roll and insert the Christmas Tree Sleeve. Decorate with Picot Chains or Starlet Chains and micro lights.
