PUTTING IT TOGETHER

Attach the Flower Head to the tip of the floral craft rod or bamboo skewer using hot glue. Insert the Bracts onto the bottom of the floral craft rod or bamboo skewer, pulling all the way up until it covers the bottom part of the Flower Head.

WHEN USING BAMBOO SKEWERS, CUT OFF THE POINTY END WITH A PAIR OF SCISSORS

Glue the bottom half of the Bract’s modified sepals onto the the flower head using hot glue, or you can also sew it into place.

Wrap the excess yarn from the Bracts and work your way 4 inches down the floral craft rod or bamboo skewer. Secure the end with a drop of hot glue. Cut off any excess yarn.

Attach the leaves on opposite sides of the stem with hot glue. Take the excess yarn from one of the leaves and wrap around he yarn, wire and floral craft rod or bamboo skewer several times until you reach the bottom of the main stem. Secure the end with a drop of hot glue. Cut off any excess yarn and wires.

Take your darning needle and thread several inches long of White yarn. Sew a loose simple running stitch, about a centimeter long around the flower head, starting from the top round (Photo 8), working your way to the bottom of the flower head. Sew in between the sepals.
