HOW TO: TREBLE CROCHET

Treble Crochet

The tallest of the basic crochet stitches, the Treble Crochet Stitch or TR, creates a less stable and more open fabric due to the length of its stitches. It also lends a softer drape to the finished project.


FOUNDATION CHAIN: ANY NUMBER OF CHAINS + 3

Begin with a slip knot and chain (CH) 13.

ROW 1

Yarn over (YO) twice, insert your hook into the 5th chain (CH) from the hook and pull up a loop. * YO and pull through 2 loops. Repeat * 2 more times. You have completed your first Treble Crochet Stitch! Repeat in the next CH and in every CH in the row. Turn your work.

ROW 2

[CH 4, YO twice, insert your hook into the next stitch and pull up a loop, * YO and pull through 2 loops. Repeat * 2 more times. ] Repeat [ ] until the end of the row. Turn your work.

ROW 3

Repeat Row 3 until you have the necessary amount needed for your project.
