STITCH TUTORIAL
This tutorial will show you how to crochet Back Raised Double Crochet Stitch. A technique that works around the stems or posts of stitches to add detail and texture to your projects. It is also known as the Back Post Double Crochet.
MATERIALS
- ARAN / HEAVY WORSTED WEIGHT YARN
- 5 MM CROCHET HOOK
- STITCH MARKERS
- DARNING NEEDLE
- SCISSORS

Back Raised DC Foundation Chain: Any number of stitches + 2
To begin creating your back raised double crochet, complete a slip knot and chain 17.

1.Double Crochet ( DC ) in the 4rth chain from the hook,

and in every chain. Turn your work.

2. Chain 2, * Back Raised Double Crochet ( BRDC ) around the next stitch

and in every stitch in the row. Turn your work.

BACK RAISED DC
Yarn over ( YO ), insert your hook starting from the back around to the front stem of the stitch below and towards the back of the same stitch,

YO and pull up a loop,

YO and pull through two loops,

YO and pull through the last 2 loops.

3. Chain 2, BRDC in the next stitch and in every stitch in the row.


4. Repeat Step 3 until you have the necessary amount of stitches / rows needed for your project.
