CROCHET PATTERN
Elevate the staple elastic band with a simple crochet bow hair tie!
This crochet bow hair tie will make for a wonderful Mommy and Me Project that you and your kid/s can treasure and use. Let’s begin!
MATERIALS
- MEDIUM WEIGHT YARN
- 5 MM HOOK
- ELASTIC BAND
- SCISSORS
- DARNING NEEDLE
CROCHET BOW HAIR TIE
To begin your crochet bow hair tie, grab your hook and yarn and chain 60.

Hold both ends of the chain together, and making sure the chain is not twisted, join both ends with a slip stitch (SS).

1. Chain 1, single crochet in the same stitch.

Single crochet in every stitch in the round. Slip stitch at the end of the round.
2 to 6. Repeat Round 1 instructions to continue the bow pattern.

At the end of the round, fasten off and weave in any loose ends. Set aside.
CROCHET BOW HAIR TIE | BOW BAND
To create the bow band, begin by chaining 4.
1. Single crochet in the 2nd chain from the hook. Single crochet in every chain in the row. Turn your work.
2 to 8. Repeat Row 1 pattern.

Leave a 6 inch tail. With the right side facing up, fold the bow band in half. Align the stitches and slip stitch the ends together. Leave the tail uncut.

CROCHET BOW HAIR TIE | PUTTING IT TOGETHER
Insert the bow into the bow band. Center the bow band and align

and sew the back portion of the band and the bow together. Leave the tail of the bow uncut.

Attach the elastic band to the finished bow and sew tightly together.
