
CROCHET SQUARE COASTERS
CROCHET PATTERN
Coasters are great for providing that additional protection to our table tops and fragile glasses. This coaster is made up of single crochet stitches all around and quickly builds up. Read on to learn how to crochet square coasters!
MATERIALS
- MEDIUM WEIGHT YARN
- 5 MM HOOK
- STITCH MARKERS
- SCISSORS
- DARNING NEEDLE
Start by hooking in 16 chains.

1. Single crochet in the 2nd chain from the hook, single crochet in every stitch in the row, turn.
2 to 16. Chain 1 and single crochet in every stitch in the row . Turn your work Total stitches:15

17. Once you have completed the final row, single crochet in the same stitch twice. You now have 3 single crochets in the corner of your coaster.

Rotate and continue adding single crochets on the edge. Once you have reached the corner, work 2 more single crochets (3 in total). Rotate your work and continue until you have single crochets all around the edges.
On the last stitch, add 2 more single crochets and slip stitch on the very first single crochet you had made.

Fasten off and weave in loose ends. Your coaster is now ready to use!
