HOW TO: CROCHET LOOP STITCH

Combining a single crochet and a half double crochet stitch, create this beautiful, lightly textured fabric that resembles a zigzag line.


FOUNDATION CHAIN: MULTIPLE OF 2+1

Begin with a slip knot and chain (CH) 1.


ROW 1

Insert your hook into the 3rd CH from the hook and draw up a loop, yarn over ( YO ), YO and insert your hook into the next CH and draw up a loop. YO and draw through all 4 loops on your hook. You have created your first loop stitch.

Continue using this pattern: * CH 1, loop stitch in the next 2 CHS. Repeat * until the end of the row.  Single crochet (SC) in the last CH. Turn your work.

ROW 2

CH 2, loop stitch in the first stitch and in the next CH-1 space, * CH 1, loop stitch on the next stitch and in the next CH-1 space. Repeat until the last 2 stitches. CH 1, SC in the top of the turning CH. Turn your work.

ROW 3

Repeat Row 2 until you have the necessary amount of rows needed for your projects.
