CREATING THE HEAD

With Yarn B and your 3 mm crochet hook, begin by creating a Magic Ring ( MR ).

ROUND 1: Hook in 6 SC inside the MR and pull the ring close. Total Stitches: 6

ROUND 2: * SC INC in the next stitch. Repeat * 6 times. Total Stitches: 12

ROUND 3: * SC in the next stitch, SC INC in the next stitch. Repeat * 6 times. Total Stitches: 18

ROUND 4: * SC in the next 2 stitches, SC INC in the next stitch. Repeat * 6 times. Total Stitches: 24

ROUND 5: SC in every stitch in the round. Total Stitches: 24

ROUND 6: * SC in the next 3 stitches, SC INC in the next stitch. Repeat * 6 times. Total Stitches: 30

ROUND 7: * SC in the next 4 stitches, SC INC in the next stitch. Repeat * 6 times. Total Stitches: 36

CREATING THE SNOUT

With Yarn A and your 3 mm crochet hook, begin by creating a slip knot and chaining 4.

ROUND 1: SC in the 2nd CH from the hook and in the next CH, SC INC in the next stitch, SC in the next 2 stitches. Total Stitches: 6

ROUND 2: SC INC in the next stitch, SC in the next stitch, SC INC in the next 2 stitches, SC in the next stitch, SC INC in the next stitch. Total Stitches: 10

ROUND 3: Working in the back loops only, SC in every stitch in the round. Total Stitches: 10

Fasten off leaving a 5 inch tail for sewing.

CREATING THE EARS ( 2 )

With Yarn A and your 3 mm crochet hook, create a slip knot and CH 2.

ROUND 1: Hook in 3 SC in the first CH. Total STitches: 3

ROUND 2: SC INC in every stitch in the round. Total Stitches: 6

ROUND 3: SC in every stitch in the round. Total Stitches: 6

Fasten off leaving a 5 inch tail for sewing.

CREATING THE ARMS ( 2 )

With Yarn A, create a slip knot and CH 2.

ROUND 1: Hook in 4 SC in the first CH, joining Yarn B in the last stitch. Total Stitches: 4

ROUND 2: * SC in the next stitch, SC INC in the next stitch. Repeat * one more time. Total Stitches: 6

ROUND 3 TO ROUND 6: SC in every stitch in the round. Total Stitches: 6

CREATING THE RIBBON

Using Yarn A and your 3 mm crochet hook, create a Slip Knot and CH 4.

ROW 1: SC in the 2nd CH from the hook and into the next 2 CHS. Turn your work. Total Stitches: 3

ROW 2: CH 1, SC in the first stitch and in the next 2 stitches. Total Stitches: 3

ROUND 3 TO ROW 16: CH 1, SC in every stitch in the row.

Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.

To create the band for your ribbon, using Yarn A, create a slip knot and CH 5. Fasten off leaving a 6 inch tail for sewing.

Position the band into the center of the ribbon and sew into place.

PUTTING IT TOGETHER

~HEAD~

Position the ears on the 4th round of the head, spacing them 9 stitches apart. Sew in between rounds 4, 5 and 6, weaving in any loose ends.

Position and center the snout in round 9 of the wider portion of the head and sew into place in rounds 9, 10 and 11. Weave in any loose ends.

Position and center the safety eyes in between rounds 8 and 9 above the snout, spaced 6 stitches apart and sew into place weaving in any loose ends.

~BODY~

Position the arms into the sides of the body and sew into place.

Insert fiberfill into the head and body of Little Miss Peggy until firm.

Position the front of the head into the front of the body and sew into place, weaving in any loose ends.

* The front of the Little Miss Peggy’s body is the narrow portion, the backside is the wider potion of the body.
