CREATING THE TAIL

Join your amethyst yarn into the CH space at the back of the bear.

ROUND 1: Working around the space, SC in every stitch in the round. Total Stitches: 8

ROUND 2: Hook in 2 SC in every stitch in the round. Total Stitches: 16

ROUND 3: SC in every stitch in the round.

ROUND 4: SC2TOG 8 times. Total Stitches: 8

Fasten off and leave a 5 inch tail for sewing. Sew the opening closed, weaving in any loose ends.



CREATING THE ARMS (2)

Join your Amethyst Yarn into the bottom arm space on the side of the bear.

ROUND 1: Working around the arm space, SCBLO of every stitch in the round. Total Stitches: 8

ROUND 2: SC in the next stitch, SC INC, SC in the next 3 stitches, SC INC, SC in the next 2 stitches. Total Stitches: 10

ROUND 3 TO ROUND ROUND 7: SC in every stitch in the round.

Fasten off leaving a 5 inch tail for sewing. Sew the opening closed, weaving in any loose ends. Repeat for the other arm.


CREATE THE EARS (2)

With your Amethyst yarn, create a MR and CH 1.

ROUND 1: Hook in 4 SC inside the MR. Pull the ring close.

ROUND 2: Hook in 2 SC in every stitch in the round. Total Stitches: 8

ROUND 3 TO ROUND 4: SC in every stitch in the round.

Fasten off and leave a tail long enough for sewing.

Position and sew the ears between rounds 16 and 17, space them evenly apart. Weave in any loose ends.


CREATING THE SNOUT

With your light grey yarn, create a MR and CH 1, hook in 3 SC inside the MR, SL ST inside the MR and CH 3, 4 Double Crochet (DC) inside the MR, CH 3, SL ST into the first CH to join. Fasten off leaving a 5 to 6 inch tail for sewing.

Position the snout, one row below the safety eyes and center between the eyes. Sew into place, weaving in any loose ends.

Using your black yarn, sew horizontal lines into the center of the snout for the nose.
