CREATING THE BODY
Using Yarn B and your 5 mm crochet hook, create a MR and CH 1.
ROUND 1: Hook in 6 SCs inside the MR. Pull the ring close. Total Stitches: 6
ROUND 2: SC INC in every stitch the round. Total Stitches: 12
ROUND 3: SC INC in every stitch in the round. Total Stitches: 24
ROUND 4: Slip Stitch (SL ST) in the next 2 stitches, Treble Crochet (TR) in the next stitch, * SL ST in the next stitch, TR in the next stitch. Repeat *12 times (Photo 5). SL ST in the next stitch. Total Stitches: 25
ROUND 5: CH 1, SC in the same stitch, SC INC in every TR stitch in the round. Total Stitches: 25
ROUND 6: SL ST in the next 2 stitches, TR in the next stitch. * SL ST in the next stitch, TR in the next stitch. Repeat * 12 times. Skip the next stitch and SL ST in the next stitch to join.
ROUND 7: CH 1, * SC in the next 3 stitches, SC INC in the next stitch. Repeat * 5 more times (Photo 6). SL ST in the next stitch to join. Total Stitches: 30
ROUND 8: SL ST in the next 2 stitches, TR in the next stitch. * SL ST in the next stitch, TR in the next stitch. Repeat * in every stitch in the round. Skip the next stitch, SL ST in the next stitch to join. Total Stitches: 31

ROUND 16: SL ST in the next stitch, TR in the next stitch. Repeat * 10 times. SL ST in the beginning stitch to join. Total Stitches: 18
ROUND 17: CH 1, * SC in the next 2 stitches, INV SC DEC, repeat * 4 times. SL ST in the beginning stitch to join. Total Stitches: 12
Turn the body inside out and insert fiberfill until firm.
ROUND 18: CH 1, INV SC DEC in every stitch in the round. SL ST in the beginning CH to join. Total Stitches: 6
Sew the opening close and weave in any loose ends.
** Sheepenstein’s body will have a flat end and a rounded end. The flat end will be the backside where the tail will be attached later on. The rounded end is where the head will be placed.
Position the ears onto the side of the head and sew into place. Position and sew the head, limbs and tail of Sheepenstein. Weave in any loose ends.
