BALLOON TOP

With your 4 MM crochet hook and Yarn A, begin by creating a Magic Ring (MR).

ROUND 1: Hook in 7 Single Crochets (SC) inside the MR. Pull the ring close.

ROUND 2: Hook in 2 SCs or SC Increase in every stitch in the round. Total Stitches: 14

ROUND 3: * SC in the next stitch, SC INC in the next stitch, repeat * 7 times. Total Stitches: 21

Slip Stitch (SL ST) in the next stitch.

BALLOON

With Yarn A, chain (CH) 21.

ROW 1: SL ST in the 2nd Ch from the hook, SC in the next 3 CHs, Half Double Crochet (HDC) in the next 3 CHs, Double Crochet (DC) in the next 5 Chs, HDC in the next 3 CHs, SC in the next 5 CHs, SL ST in the next stitch, joining Yarn B in the last stitch (Photo 1). Turn your work.

ROW 2: Working in the back loops only, CH 1, SC in the next 5 stitches, HDC in the next 3 stitches,DC in the next 5 stitches, HDC in the next 3 stitches, SC in the next 3 stitches, SL ST in the last stitch, joining Yarn C in the last stitch. Turn your work.

ROW 3: Working in the back loops only, SL ST in the next stitch, SC in the next 3 stitches, HDC in the next 3 stitches, DC in the next 5 stitches, HDC in the next 3 stitches (Photo 2), SC in the next 5 stitches, SL ST in the next stitch of the balloon top, joining Yarn A in the last stitch.
