MATERIALS

WORSTED / MEDIUM WEIGHT YARN

COLORS: LIGHT GREY + CREAM

4 MM CROCHET HOOK

YARN A: LIGHT GREY; YARN B: CREAM

CLOUD SHEEP FRONT

Using your 4 MM crochet hook and Yarn A, begin with a Slip Knot and Chain ( CH ) 7.

ROUND 1: Hook in 2 Single Crochets ( SC ) or Single Crochet Increase ( SC INC ) in the 2nd Ch from the hook, Half Double Crochet ( HDC ) in the same CH, Double Crochet ( DC ) in the next 4 CHS, HDC in the next CH, SC INC in the same CH, SC in the next 4 stitches. SL ST in the next stitch.

ROUND 2: CH 1, SC INC in the 1st stitch, HDC in the next stitch, 3 DC in the next stitch, DC in the next 4 stitches, 3 DC in the next stitch, HDC in the next stitch, SC INC in the next stitch, SC in the next 5 stitches. SL ST in the first stitch using Yarn B. Turn your work.

CLOUD SHEEP’S WOOL

With the wrong side facing up, and using Yarn B, follow this pattern:

ROUND 1: CH 2, 5 DC Bobble ( 5 DC BO ) in the same stitch, CH 1, Half Double Crochet Increase ( HDC INC ) in the next stitch. * 6 DC Bobble ( 6 DC BO ) in the next stitch, CH 1, HDC INC in the next stitch. Repeat * 9 times. SL ST in the next stitch.

6 DOUBLE CROCHET BOBBLE ( 6 DC BO ): * Yarn Over ( YO ), insert your hook into the designated stitch and pull up a loop, YO and pull through the 2 loops in your hook. Repeat * 6 times. YO and pull through all 7 loops in your hook.

ROUND 2: CH 2, HDC on the top of the 6 DC BO, *HDC INC in the next stitch, 6 DC BO in the next stitch, CH 1. Repeat * 11 times. SL ST in the top of the Turning Chain ( TCH ). Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.

CLOUD SHEEP BACK

Create the Back Part of Cloud Sheep using only Yarn B and the same pattern above. Leave the yarn uncut.

CLOUD SHEEP EARS (2)

Using Yarn A and your 4 mm crochet hook, create a Slip Knot and CH 4, SC in the 2nd Ch from the hook, HDC in the same CH, HDC in the next CH, HDC, 3 DC, HDC in the next CH, HDC in the next CH, HDC, SC in the same CH. SL ST in the beginning CH. Fasten off and leave a 4 inch tail for sewing.

PUTTING IT TOGETHER

Take the safety eyes and attach it in between the 2 DC INC stitches in ROUND 1 spaced 3 DC stitches apart. Create the nose by sewing in 2 horizontal lines using Yarn B in the bottom of the 1st and 3rd DC stitches in the 1st Round.

To create the mouth, insert your needle one stitch below and one stitch before the nose and reinsert underneath the nose strands. Repeat for the other mouth curve, weaving in any loose ends.

Take Cloud Sheep’s back portion and match and align with front portion, with the wrong sides together. With the uncut yarn, join with a SL ST and CH 1. SC both sides of the front and back parts of Cloud Sheep together.

Working your way to the center of the top of Cloud Sheep’s head. Upon reaching the center part, fasten off and insert the yarn into the bottom of the keychain and SC in the next stitch. SC in the remaining stitches and spaces in the round. SL ST in the beginning CH to join. Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.

Position and sew the ears in the 3rd round on the top of Cloud Sheep’s head, 3 Bobbles apart. Weave in any loose ends.
