Crochet Wardrobe Part 1

THE TROUSERS

MATERIALS

8 PLY / DK COTTON YARN

COLOUR: BROWN

3 MM CROCHET HOOK

DARNING NEEDLE

SCISSORS

With your 3 mm crochet hook and colored yarn, create a Slip Knot and Chain (CH) 35. Join with a Slip Stitch (SL ST) in the first chain to form a circle .

ROUND 1: CH 3 (counts 1 Double Crochet), double crochet (DC) in the next 34 CHS. SL ST in the top of the beginning CH to join . Total stitches: 35

ROUND 2: CH 3, DC in the next 15 stitches, CH 3, skip 3 stitches, DC in the next 16 stitches. SL ST in the beginning CH to join (Photo 1). Total stitches: 32

ROUND 3: CH 3, DC in every stitch and CH in the round. SL ST in the beginning CH to join (Photo 2). Total stitches: 35

Count 18 stitches in the previous row and SL ST to join. Let’s begin working on the 1st trouser leg, CH3, and DC in the next 17 stitches. SL ST in the beginning CH to join.

Join yarn in the middle chain and in the next stitch in the other side of the trouser leg, CH 3, DC in the next 17 stitches. SL ST in the beginning CH to join. Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.

TO TRANSFROM THE TROUSERS INTO SUSPENDERS:

Measure and cut 4 IN of elastic. Position onto both sides of the front and back part of the trousers and sew into place.

BOLD TIE

MATERIALS

3 MM CROCHET HOOK

SCISSORS

EMBROIDERY THREAD (CREAM)

SEWING NEEDLE

Using your pink yarn and 3 MM crochet hook, begin with a Slip Knot and CH 20. SL ST in the first CH to join.

ROUND 1: CH 1, SC in every succeeding CH. SL ST in the beginning CH to join.

ROUND 2 TO ROUND5: CH 1, SC in every stitch in the round. SL ST in the beginning CH to join.

TO CREATE THE BOW BAND

Begin with a Slip Knot and Ch 7, SC in the second CH from the hook and in the next 4 CHS. Fasten off and leave a 5 inch tail for sewing. Position the bow band into the center of the bow and sew into place.

TO CREATE THE BOW TIES

To create the bow ties, simply begin with a slip knot and CH 50. You can add more chains to create a longer tie. Insert the bow tie underneath the bow band. Center and position the bow band and sew into place.
