PUTTING IT TOGETHER
Prepare your Floral Craft Rod or Bamboo Skewer. Cut another piece of floral craft rod or bamboo skewer for your Carnation Bud, measuring 3 inches long.

WHEN USING BAMBOO SKEWERS, CUT OFF THE POINTY END WITH A PAIR OF SCISSORS
Wrap Sage Green yarn onto the top of your floral craft rod or bamboo skewer several times and secure it into place with a drop of hot glue. Cut off excess yarn.
Take your Carnation Flower and wrap around the top of the floral craft rod or bamboo skewer, securing it into place with hot glue (Photo 8). Sew the excess yarn around the flower to keep it in place. You can add an additional Flower by wrapping it around the previously secured Flower, and securing the end with hot glue, sewing the excess yarn around the flower. This will give your Carnation Flower a mature and fuller appearance.
Insert the bottom of the Carnation Stem into the center of the Sepal and pull up until it covers the bottom of the petals. Secure into place with hot glue. Glue the Sepals individually onto the petals of the Carnation Flowers or you can alternatively sew it into place.

Wrap the excess yarn from the Sepals around the floral craft rod or bamboo skewer, working your way 2 inches down the stalk (Photo 9). Secure the end with hot glue. Cut off any excess yarn.
Take your 3 inch floral craft rod or bamboo skewer and insert the Bud onto the top of the floral craft rod or bamboo skewer, securing it into place with hot glue. Wrap the excess yarn around the floral craft rod or bamboo skewer (Photo 10), securing the end with hot glue. Cut off any excess yarn.
Position the stem of the Carnation Bud onto the side of the Main Stalk and secure into place with hot glue. Wrap Sage Green yarn around the Bud’s stem and Main stem several times. Attach the Leaf onto the side of the stalk and secure into place with hot glue, use the excess yarn to wrap around the floral craft rod or bamboo skewer, securing it into place with a drop of hot glue. Cut off any excess yarn.

Repeat the process for the other 2 Leaves, finishing by wrapping the excess yarn from the leaf 3 inches down the floral craft rod or bamboo skewer. Cut off any excess yarn and remove any excess glue.
