CREATING THE BEAK

Using your 10 PLY/MEDIUM WEIGHT/WORSTED WEIGHT YARN light yellow yarn and 6 mm crochet hook, create a MR and CH 1.

ROUND 1: Hook in 4 SC inside the MR. Total Stitches: 4

ROUND 2: SC INC in every stitch in the round. Total Stitches: 8

Fasten off and leave a 5 inch tail for sewing.

CREATING THE FEATHERS (5)

Using Yarn B and your 6 mm crochet hook, create a Slip Knot and CH 9.

ROUND 1: SC in the 2nd CH from the hook and in the next 6 CHS, 3 SC INC in the next CH, SC in the next 6 stitches, SC INC in the next stitch. SL ST in the beginning stitch to join. Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.

Adding the feather details: Join your 10 PLY/MEDIUM WEIGHT/WORSTED WEIGHT, red cotton blend yarn on the 6th stitch and CH 4, Double Crochet (DC) in the next stitch, 3 Double Crochet Increase (3 DC INC) in the next stitch, DC in the next stitch, CH 5, SL ST in the next stitch. Fasten off and leave a 5 inch tail for sewing.

CREATING THE HAT

Using Yarn B and your 6 MM crochet hook, create a slip knot and CH 3. SL ST in the first stitch to join.

ROUND 1: CH 1, hook in 6 SC inside the ring. SL ST in the next stitch to join. Total Stitches: 6

ROUND 2: CH 1, SC INC in every stitch in the round. SL ST in the next stitch to join. Total Stitches: 12

ROUND 3: CH 1, SC BLO in every stitch in the round. SL ST in the next stitch to join. Total Stitches: 12

ROUND 4 TO ROUND 5: CH 1, SC in every stitch in the round. SL ST in the next stitch to join.

ROUND 6: CH 1, * SC in the next stitch, SC INC in the next stitch. Repeat * 6 times. SL ST in the next stitch. Total Stitches: 18

ROUND 7: CH 3, Double Crochet in the Front Loops Only (DC FLO) of the next stitch, Double Crochet Increase in the Front Loops Only (DC INC FLO) in the next stitch. * DC FLO of the next 2 stitches, DC INC FLO of the next stitch. Repeat * 5 times. SL ST in the Turning Chain (TCH) to join. Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.

ADDING THE HAT BAND: Create a Slip Knot and CH 26. Fasten off and leave an 8 inch tail for sewing. Position and sew the band on Round 6 of the hat.

PUTTING IT TOGETHER

Position and attach the wings onto the sides of your turkey bird amigurumi, on Round 12 and sew into place. Position the beak in between the safety eyes just below Round 7 and sew into place.

Place the snood onto the sides of the beak and sew into place. Position the tail feathers onto the back of your amigurumi and sew into place. Weave in any loose ends.
