Cut out a piece of fabric measuring 15 inches x 12 inches.
To create the hem on the fabric: Measure 2 cm from the edge, fold and pin into place. Sew the hem onto the fabric.
To create the hem using a serger: Measure 2 cm from the edge and sew (Photo 1).

Once you have the fabric’s edges all cleaned up, with your darning needle and yarn, sew in 21 horizontal lines evenly (Photo 2), 1.5 cm on the top of the short edge of the fabric.
CROCHET PATTERN
Using your yarn and 5 MM crochet hook, join in the first stitch of the previously sewn in lines, with a Slip Knot and Chain (CH) 1.
ROW1: Single Crochet (SC) in every stitch in the row. Turn your work. Total Stitches: 21
ROW 2 TO ROW 3: CH 3 (counts as a stitch), Double Crochet (DC) in the next 20 stitches. Turn your work. Total Stitches: 21
ROW 4: Double Crochet Two Together (DC2TOG), DC in the next 17 stitches, DC2TOG (Photo 3). Turn your work. Total Stitches: 19


ROW 5: DC2TOG, DC in the next 15 stitches, DC2TOG. Turn your work. Total Stitches: 17
ROW 6: DC2TOG 2 times, DC in the next 9 stitches, DC2TOG 2 times. Turn your work. Total Stitches: 11
ROW 7: DC2TOG 2 times, DC in the next 5 stitches, DC2TOG 2 times. Turn your work. Total Stitches: 7
ROW 8: DC2TOG 2 times, DC in the next stitch, DC2TOG 2 times. Turn your work. Total Stitches: 5
ROW 9 TO ROW 14: CH3 , DC in the next 4 stitches. Turn your work. Total Stitches: 5
ROW 15: CH 3, DC in the next stitch, CH 1, skip the next stitch, DC in the next 2 stitches. Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.


Fold the top of the fabric, where the sewn lines are placed, and sew together.
Position and sew the button on Row 8 on the 2nd stitch in the row.
Position and sew the Crochet Sunflower Motif on the crocheted portion of the towel (Photo 4).
