Time needed: 30 minutes.

1. Creating the Eggshell Abode

   With a spoon or a similar tool, gently tap on the center of the egg to create a small crack. Peel off the pieces of cracked eggshells until a sizeable hole is made. Empty the eggshell of its contents and set aside for other uses.

2. Washing the Eggshell

   Rinse the eggshell with soap and water and allow to dry.

3. Adding speckles to the eggshell

   Pat the dry sponge onto the undiluted watercolor paint until the paint is distributed on the bottom of the sponge. Gently pat the sponge onto the eggshell until you have achieved the desired effect. Allow the paint to dry for 15 to 20 minutes.

4. Completing the Eggshell Abode

   Insert scrap yarn pieces inside the decorated eggshell and set aside.
